This unique experience will give the participants an insight to hard and soft tissues management,
advanced grafting techniques (inlay block grafts, horizontal regeneration and periodontal treatments) and to
the scientific evidence behind soft and hard tissue regeneration.

There are many patients with atrophic posterior maxilla requesting fixed prostheses.
When the residual bone height is below 4 mm sinus lift procedures remain the most viable
therapeutic options. Sinus lifting techniques have evolved over the last 25 years to a point where sinus grafting surgery is
considered to be one of the most successful augmentation procedures performed today with high survival rate
of implants placed in these grafts and their prostheses.
This two-day course will present sinus elevation techniques and possible alternatives to sinus elevation
therapy from pre-surgical planning to prosthetic restoration.
Initially the anatomy, the materials, the surgical procedures, the scientific evidence and the
complications will be presented. Multiple video presentations will give participants
complete exposure to various surgical sinus elevation procedures and clinical tips.
After a "live" surgery, anatomic models will be utilized to give participants a hands-on introduction
to lateral window. This hands-on experience will include both traditional rotary techniques
and piezoelectric surgical techniques.
This educational path, led by international experts will present both evidence- based and
new state-of-the-art techniques.
This unique experience will give the participants an insight to hard and soft tissues management, advanced
grafting techniques (onlay grafts, sinus elevation...), the science and evidence behind short and narrow
implants in various cases (from simple tooth to full arch rehabilitation).
Immediate loading: when and how?
During the two days, many live surgeries will be performed with the participation of:
PATRICK PALACCI | Marseille
ULF NANNMARK | Göteborg
An exceptional interactivity between these practitioners will allow the participants to get the excellence of
scientific bases, surgical and prosthetic concepts
This extremely dense course has been successful and updated through the years. It focuses in all different
aspects of advanced implant dentistry.
The Bone Layer Technique allows for the horizontal and vertical regeneration of atrophic crestal
ridge using a resorbable Cortical Lamina, a collagenated biomaterial and a collagen membrane.
When the vestibular and/or lingual bony wall is missing, a full thickness flap is released and the
Cortical Lamina is fixed with titanium pins.
The defect is then filled with collagenated biomaterials (e.g. mp3) the occlusal surface is covered
with an Evolution collagen membrane.
Flaps are then sutured with minimal tension, in order to allow for optimal blood clot stabilisation.
The advantages of Cortical Lamina are multiple: the transformation into the new cortical plate in
6-8 month, the stabilization of the graft in a very short time.
Suggested re-entry time is at 6 months, while the full resorption takes place in around 12 months.
After a brief summary of the scientific evidence behind augmentation procedures, participants
will have the opportunity to observe a didactic, live surgical procedure.
